Our Story
It all began with a few pieces of scrap wood and a backyard full of sparrows. Like many cities across India, our neighbourhood was watching its green spaces shrink. Local sparrows, once a familiar sight on every windowsill and courtyard, were struggling to find safe nesting spots amidst the concrete and glass.
We decided to do something about it. After weeks of researching avian nesting habits, safe wood types, and the right entrance hole sizes for different species, the very first BirdKart nest box was born. Within days, a family of sparrows moved in — and the joy of watching them thrive sparked something we could not ignore.
What started as a backyard passion project has since grown into a thriving handmade birdhouse brand, delivering wooden bird homes to over 5,000 families across India. Every birdhouse we make carries the same care and attention to detail as that very first one.
